June Meeting

Thank you to Sherry Ransom who was guest speaker at our June meeting last week! Sherry presented on "Changing Your Focus to Change Your Life".

What a great speaker! I was definitely inspired.

Sherry recommended that we write our intentions daily. We should be as descriptive as possible and continue adding to them to make them very, very specific. I've been to presentations where the speaker recommended writing intentions before. I liked the idea of it, but never actually sat down to do it - until now. I just started writing my intentions and I LOVE it!

She also recommended assessing our business skills and our life skills. We are happiest when we merge and use BOTH sets of skills, but most of us find jobs using only our business skills. This leaves us feeling like something is missing.

Lastly, Sherry recommended that we set goals for ourselves to accomplish each month. This will keep up moving forward toward our dreams. I thought this was great advice, especially since we do this regularly at our monthly meetings. What will YOU do by our next meeting to move closer to your career goals?

Remember - Just DO it!
See you in July!

Finally!

As our group approaches it's 6th year anniversary in July, 2009, I'm finally getting around to creating an online resource for us (i.e. this blog)!

The idea to have an online resource was planted a few years ago by one of our members who has, since then, made a very successful career transition to business owner. But, since changing careers is time-consuming in itself, finding the time to create a blog proved to be too challenging.

But, alas. The time has come....

Stay tuned for future postings regarding topics and resources discussed at our monthly meetings.
